Horror Nun 2

Horror Nun 2 takes you into a creepy school where staying alive is mostly about keeping your head down and figuring things out. The game follows the same kind of survival-horror formula: explore the building, look for useful objects, work out puzzles, and avoid Sister Madeline whenever she starts getting too close.

The school itself is part of the challenge. One minute you might be searching an empty classroom, and the next you hear footsteps somewhere down the corridor.

Look Before You Move

There is quite a lot to search. Some rooms are easy to enter, while others are blocked by locked doors or puzzles. You might find a key but have no idea where it belongs yet. Instead of throwing it away or forgetting about it, remember the door and come back later. It also helps to learn the layout. After getting caught once or twice, familiar hallways start to make more sense, and you begin to know which corners are useful when something starts chasing you.

The Nun Is Always Nearby

Sister Madeline is the biggest problem. She can suddenly show up while you are looking for an item, which makes even quiet exploration stressful. When that happens, sprinting through the same hallway is usually a bad idea. Turn a corner, find somewhere to hide, and wait for things to calm down. There are other dangerous creatures in parts of the school too, so not every strange sound should be ignored.

Finding a Way Forward

The puzzles are what keep the exploration moving. You will need to search for objects, notice small clues, and sometimes return to an earlier location with something new. There is a nice feeling when an apparently useless item finally turns out to be exactly what was needed. Keeping track of what you have already checked saves a lot of wandering.

A Few Things That Help

Do not rush into a room just because the hallway looks empty. Listen first. If the nun is nearby, give her time to move away. Also, check shelves, corners, and less obvious spots. Important items are not always sitting in the middle of a room waiting to be found.
