Hills of Steel is a tank shooting game developed by Superplus Games. Instead of placing tanks on flat maps, the game sends them across bumpy hills, steep slopes, and uneven ground where every movement affects the battle. One moment your cannon points directly at an enemy. A second later, a hill changes the angle completely.
The terrain never stays flat for long. A heavy tank can lose speed while climbing, then roll forward quickly when heading downhill. Sometimes a vehicle gets stuck at the top of a ridge with only part of its body exposed. Other times the same hill becomes useful cover from incoming fire. The battlefield changes constantly because of the shape of the ground.
The starting tank is only one option. Coins earned from battles unlock additional machines, including heavier tanks and special vehicles with different designs. Some move faster. Others survive longer under enemy fire. Switching vehicles can change how a battle unfolds, especially on maps with larger hills. A tank that performs well on one stage may not feel the same on another.
After a few matches, upgrade options begin to appear. Firepower increases shell damage. Armor helps absorb more hits. Engine upgrades improve movement across difficult terrain. None of these changes completely transform a tank overnight, but they become noticeable after several upgrades. The difference is easiest to see when returning to earlier stages.

A fight in Hills of Steel rarely happens on level ground. Tanks slide down hills, climb ridges, and fire from awkward angles while trying to stay intact. Sometimes the terrain helps. Sometimes it gets in the way. Either way, every battle depends on more than just pulling the trigger.
