Offroad Island
Offroad Island is a 3D driving game built around rough roads rather than perfect tracks. You get trucks, 4x4s, bikes, quads, crawlers, and other vehicles to take across muddy paths, steep hills, jumps, and hidden routes. There are three large areas to explore, with races and trials waiting in different parts of each map.
Start Exploring
Pick a vehicle and head out into the map. The roads are not always easy to follow, and some areas are much harder to cross than others. Mud can slow the vehicle down, while steep slopes require careful control to stop the wheels from losing traction.
Use WASD or the Arrow Keys to drive and steer. U respawns the vehicle if it gets stuck. You can also switch camera views with C and use V for the rear-view camera.
For tougher sections, the drivetrain controls become useful. J switches between 4WD and 2WD, while G activates off-road gear. The differential can also be locked with H when extra traction is needed.
Races and Off-Road Trials
Exploration is only one part of the game. Races, stunt areas, and driving trials give you specific targets to complete. Some focus on getting through a route quickly, while others are more about keeping control across rough ground. Completing these challenges earns money that can be spent on your vehicles.
Tune Your Ride
Offroad Island gives you plenty of ways to change a vehicle. Paint, wheels, tires, and body parts can alter its appearance, while performance settings affect how it behaves on the road.
Engine power, suspension, gearbox, and weight distribution can all be adjusted. A setup that works well on a fast trail may not feel as useful on steep or muddy terrain, so changing the vehicle to match the route can make a noticeable difference.
Game Experience
The game feels slower and more deliberate than a normal racing title. Getting up a steep hill or through deep mud can be more satisfying than simply reaching top speed. Exploring the maps also gives each drive a small sense of discovery.
