Skip It! is a casual arcade distance game published by Ozgames. The idea comes from a familiar activity many people tried as kids—throwing a flat stone across water and watching it bounce. In this game, that simple action becomes a challenge of timing, control, and distance.

Your objective is to throw the stone across the lake and keep it skipping for as long as possible. The farther it travels, the more coins you earn. Those coins help unlock upgrades that make future throws stronger and more stable. Unlike some endless games that run automatically, Skip It! gives players control after the launch. You can guide the stone while it moves across the surface, which means every attempt feels a little different.

Getting the Throw Right

Each round begins with a power bar. Hold the mouse button to prepare the throw and release it when the meter reaches a good position. A well-timed launch gives the stone better speed and a smoother first bounce.

After the stone hits the water, it will start skipping forward. At this point, you can move the mouse left or right to guide its path. Steering becomes important because the lake is not completely empty.

Obstacles on the Water

Several hazards appear during a run. Floating logs and buoys are the most common. Hitting any of them ends the attempt immediately. Because of this, quick reactions are often needed to keep the stone on a safe path.

Occasionally you will also see boost gates. Passing through one adds extra speed and lets the stone continue traveling farther.

Improving Your Distance

Coins collected from each run can be used for upgrades. These upgrades slowly improve performance and help players reach longer distances.

Common upgrades include:

  • Strength – increases the power of each throw

  • Speed – keeps the stone moving faster across the water

  • Skipping – helps the stone bounce more efficiently

Controls

The control system is very simple:

  • Hold the mouse button to set power

  • Release to throw the stone

  • Move the mouse left or right to steer during the run

Game Experience

Skip It! is easy to understand but difficult to master. Runs are short, so it is easy to try again right away. With each attempt, players usually learn a little more about timing and angles.
